Udaipur

I’ve been without internet few times on this trip due to technical difficulties or something, but yesterday the internet was shut down on purpose, according to our guide, all over India in order to quell response to the verdict in a court case. That’s a first for me.

Anyhow, turning south, we left Jodphur for Udaipur today. The journey included a stop in at a Jain temple in Ranakpur. I admire the Jain reverence for non-violence, but the sign barring menstruating women because they are unclean soured the visit for me.

Upon arriving in Udaipur, I discovered my hotel room looks out over one of the city’s lakes. Rather nice, I must say.

Here are some photos. Hope you enjoy them.
